We never shopped around together but I worked in a mall and one day saw the most gorgeous Heart shaped diamond engagement ring a woman had. I was telling him about it and went to diamond.com and designed it the way I would have liked it. He kept the design for almost 6 months and bought the diamond and waited until he found a setting similar to the picture. I was so surprised when he proposed and with the exact ring-wow. 7 years later I still have yet to see one as beautiful as mine. (Of course in my opinion!)I guess what I am saying is-have her try the online design it yourself resources-it can be much easier than squinting at all those sparklers under the lights and pressure of a jeweler. The sapphires are probably dripping in blood too, they mostly come from Burma/Myanmar so even worse, monks blood! Good luck with shopping, costco has amazing deals sometimes.
