Now that we’ve moved in to June, I’ve updated the goals in the sidebar.
Here’s the May breakdown:
- I added $960 to my House Fund; an increase of almost 2%.
- I added $600 to my Roth IRA; an increase of 12%.
- I added $122 to my Emergency Fund; an increase of 2%.
I also got rid of the chart for tracking the repayment of my student loan as I have decided for right now to only pay the minimum each month and therefore it wouldn’t be a very fun chart to watch. Plus, the HTML was giving me fits.
I’ve also updated my net worth and you can see that reflected in my badge from Networth IQ.

How did you add sidebars to your page?
Ha, I was wondering the same thing when I started because everyone seemed to have them and I didn’t know where they got them. I stole mine from This Writer’s Wallet! (but I had permission – and you have permission to steal mine if you want!
)
I don’t know much about techie stuff, but if you click View at the top of your browser and then Source it will bring up the html for that page. Then I found the sidebar info in the html and cut and paste it into the html widget in blogger. Then I tweaked it to reflect my own goals and colors, etc. It was really trial and error because I don’t know anything about html. Even still, it appears that my sidebars look screwy depending on if you’re viewing them with Firefox or IE. Not sure if they appear screwy to anybody else, but they do to me sometimes and I’m not sure how to fix that. Hopefully that helps, if not, you can email me and I’ll try to help a little bit more.
