She Said Yes

by Forest on January 21, 2009

I’m officially announcing it to my friends in the blogosphere.  I’m sorry it’s taken me so long. Maybe you’ve already guessed by my absence.  I’ve spent about a month trying to wrap my head around it all.

I proposed on 12.20.08.  She said yes. Ever since then it’s been a perfect storm of friends, family and holidays.  The next thing I knew, we’re halfway through January and I’m knee-deep in wedding planning.

I’ve spent the month trying to figure out how to keep this blog from becoming a wedding blog when it seems like that’s all I can think about.  Of course, planning a wedding does fit into personal finance because if you didn’t already know, let me tell you, weddings can be expensive.

We’re basically just getting started and we’re still in the clouds with the excitement and newness of being engaged – so we’re trying not to lose that as we begin to delve into the details and finances of planning a wedding.

I’m sorry you’ve all missed out on the last month of my life.  It’s been pretty awesome.
