Bird and I were suppose to go to dinner with my brother and his girlfriend tonight. About two minutes after I left work tonight, my brother called me and told me his girlfriend got really sick at work today and that they were going to have to cancel on us.
Bird and I decided to eat out anyway and we walked to a little Mexican place a few blocks from my house. Dinner was delicious even though we had to wait quite a bit longer than usual. I’m sure the wait was due to the fact that the place was packed. Bird and I talked about how everywhere we go it seems to be busy, whether it be a restaurant or the mall. What’s up with this recession?
Dinner plus tip was $36 which translates to 72 miles. I tend to think in miles rather than dollars now that I’m using my new credit card to purchase everything (Don’t worry, I’m still paying it off every month).
ps. The new carpet was installed today and it’s amazing. After dinner we spent the evening moving stuff back into my room and now it finally feels like a home.
