I just realized that I haven’t spent any money in the last two days (2 no spend days in a row!) and I can chalk that victory up to mother nature. As you may have heard, it’s been snowy up here in Minnesota–snowy starting on Tuesday and finishing up on Wednesday. My commute really sucked on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, but the good thing about that is this: all you want to do is go home and curl up. So that’s what I’ve done for the last two nights. Headed home, curled up on the couch and watched 30 Rock and Arrested Development on dvd.
Now that I’m thinking about it, I don’t think I will be spending any money tonight, so that will make 3 no spend days in a row which may be some kind of record for me. This streak will surely end tomorrow as we have plans to go out downtown with a group of friends. It’s bound to be a great time and well worth the money!

See, snowstorms are good for something. Actually, I’m the result of the Northeast blizzard of ‘78, or so I’m told (ick) — so I guess my parents eventually SPENT money because of the snow!
