Just Contributed More to My Roth IRA

by Forest on March 18, 2009

With me getting married this Fall and having to pay for some of the wedding, I’m not really sure that I’m going to be able to (or even that it would be the wisest thing) to max out my Roth IRA.  Maybe with wedding gift money…I’m sure Bird would love that, haha.

Anywho, I have just decided to throw money at my IRA whenever I feel like it and today I felt like it.  I transferred $250 from my checking account over to my Roth IRA.  I’ve updated the sidebar to show my progress.  Currently, my IRA is down 38 percent which is another reason I’m finding it difficult to continue investing.  I sometimes feel like I’m just throwing my money in a hole.  I’ll invest 250 dollars one day and the next week it will be worth a lot less.  But like any good little PF blogger, I keep telling myself that it’ll all get better some day.
