Also, so funny about NZ and LOTR. That's what I was thinking, but I think Bird fell asleep during LOTR. Or at least she's not so much a fan as I am.

@ FB - (And I’ve just noticed most of your PF blog roll are girls. Cute!)

What can I say? There doesn't seem to be many guys out there writing the journal-type PF blogs and those are the ones I like. I like personal stories, not just articles, which is what a lot of the bigger PF blogs run by males seem to be.

Oops you had New Zealand on there with Greece.

Either of those would be cool to visit (NZ for LOTR!)

The only place that isn't cheap is Singapore in SE Asia.

If I were to lie on a beach for 2 weeks as my honeymoon, I'd go CRA-ZY. I am not a lie-on-the-beach kind of girl, because I kind of feel like I could do that at any beach ...

I'm more into sightseeing/adventure

I'd hit up Thailand if I were you. That's just me talking because I'd like to experience Thailand or Cambodia.. I've heard so many things about it.

If I had more money, I'd choose Japan.. BF has gone there and I have as well, but not together as adults. It was such a fascinating world.

How about Europe? Maybe not the south of France but I had friends who visited the area and loved it. It's very quaint and rustic.

Italy maybe? Spain? Portugal? Switzerland?? New Zealand?

Hey SP,
Thanks for the input. We have a friend that has traveled extensively in SE Asia and yes, the consensus is that it is really inexpensice when you get there. If we decided on that part of the world, I'll let you know and talk to you more about some specifics if that is okay.

I've been to two on your new list -- Thailand and Bali. The nice thing about that part of the world is, once you are there, it's super inexpensive. They plane tickets will cost you, but you'll be able to live like kings. (Personally, I prefer Thailand, but maybe because I spent more time there and other factors specific to my experience. You could do some jungle trekking then hang out on the beautiful beaches.)

I know nothing about your other destination options, but they sound fantastic!
