Best Sale of the Month:  Nothing special this month, I think the best sale was like $17 or something.

Definitely not the best month I’ve ever had but not the worst month either.  For the amount of effort I put in (not much at all), I’m happy.  Of course, I’m always hoping that the next month will be better.  It’s summer now and I feel like I have better things to be doing than scouting for books, so I’ve canceled the scouting service (savings $30) and I downgraded my merchant status at Amazon (saving $40).  That should help the bottom line right away!

Best Sale of the Month was:  Sorry, I don’t have the data in front of me at the moment.  Whatever it was, it was in the twenties, nothing stupendous.

I didn’t buy any new inventory in March and my sales really reflected it.  I’m actually surprised that I still managed to make over a hundred dollars.  I actually considered calling it quits this month, just because the motivation to book shop was no longer there and the one day I did try to go out was just a total pain because the store was so busy.  But for now, I will play it by ear and try to find some time to buy some more books to sell!

Best Sale of the Month was:  Learning and Behavior by Paul Chance – I paid $4 for this textbook and sold it the next day for $48.50.

Compared to January, this month wasn’t so hot.  We had a lot going on though, including moving, so I didn’t get out shopping nearly as much as I would have liked.  I think I only went shopping once actually (note the $34.79 in inventory costs).

I also saved 30 bucks this month by canceling my scouting service because I knew I wouldn’t be shopping as much considering all that goes into moving.

Overall it’s not great, but it’s not too shabby either.  I love when books I bought months ago finally sell.  It makes my day.

I put quite a bit more time and effort into the books this month and it really paid off for me.

Best Sale of the Month was:  The Kitchen and the Cook by Nicolas Freeling – Paid $2.15 for it and sold it for $33.95.  Though now the lowest price on Amazon is $411 so maybe I got ripped off on that sale. 

What a slow month of book sales!  I did get out shopping once and picked up a few winners.  I also had a friend ask me if I could sell a few of his books, but most of them weren’t worth very much.  I signed up for the book scouting service again this month which costs me $30 every month.  For the most par I continued to sell off old inventory.  Now I really need to get out there and get some fresh stock!

Best Sale of the Month was:

A really boring-looking math textbook about probability.  My brother had bought it for $5 at a thrift store and we sold it for $33.85.

Definitely not the best month I’ve ever had, but it’s always nice to make some extra money.  I plan on doing a lot more book hunting in December which will hopefully increase my inventory and in turn my sales.  Wish me luck!
