Bird had a tough day at work today so I decided I would be a nice guy and make her dinner. I headed over to Closet Cooking and tried to find the easiest thing to make (that with the least ingredients). I settled on the sloppy joes. They seemed easy enough.

After work, Bird and I headed to Target for groceries.

Here’s what I bought:

Tomato Sauce: $0.54

White Onion: $0.97

1 lb Strawberries (on sale): $0.99 (they were $1.99 but I had a dollar off coupon)

1 lb Strawberries (on sale): $1.99 x 2 = $3.98

Blackberries (on sale): $1.99

Bananas: $2.98

Apples: $5.05

Scotch Tape: $2.19

Bubble Mailers: $5.99

Sales Tax: $0.56

Total Spent: $25.24

Total Savings: $5.00

One of the packs of strawberries was for Bird, as were half the bananas. The scotch tape and bubble mailers were for shipping some of the books I have sold on Amazon. Technically, the book business fund will pay for those.

Arriving home, I whipped up some sloppy joes and they were pretty good. I kind of wish I had a food blog because I wanted to take pictures of my food tonight. It’s not too often that I cook, so I was a little proud of what I accomplished. They were a bit runny, but that’s the only complaint I had.

After dinner, it was time to watch some Buffy. With the weather improving and wedding stuff taking most of our time, it’s been a while since we sat down and watched the slayer. Well, the weather was kind of cool and stormy tonight, so we stayed in and watched two episodes.

Now it’s time for bed. Goodnight, world.
