An Unexpected Cost

by Forest on June 10, 2008

There are all kinds of costs and fees that go along with selling your house. Fortunately, most of these don’t come into factor until you actually make the sale. However, after only two days, I’ve learned there is one expense that I was not expecting.

Due to the fact that we could have a showing at any given moment, our air conditioning needs to be running all the time. Usually, it would be set to turn off during the day and then turn back on just before we get home from work. Since walking into a house that feels like a sauna probably doesn’t urge most people to reach for their checkbooks, we’ll be running the air as much as we have to and therefore the electric bill is going to go up!
