A Peaceful Night In (after burgers)

by Forest on November 4, 2009

Bird and I met up with a good friend of ours for dinner tonight after work.  We hadn’t seen her since our wedding and so we had so much to catch up on.  We told her all about our honeymoon and we talked about the wedding and we talked about the transition back into the real world and life after wedding planning.  It was a great way to spend an hour or two after work.

As we were leaving, Bird started to complain about a headache and so we got home and tucked her into bed around 7:30 with a book and a cup of tea.  I went to work on some internet things and got a lot done including writing this post.  It’s just been a really nice night to sit around and do nothing after having a few nights of being on the fly.  Monday night was our trip to Macy’s and last night I went to my parent’s.  Tomorrow we are going to a friend’s for Thursday night TV and on Friday I’m heading out of town.  So it really is a crazy week and this is a little reprieve in the middle of it.  I think we both needed that.

We split dinner with our friend.  I paid for our share and it came out to be $26 including tip.  Also bought gas on the way home for $32.30 at $2.61 per gallon.

And oh, I just got 2 Swagbucks.  Huzzah!
