I borrowed it from a friend and then had to go buy it for myself it was so amazing. It's probably the most hopeful and inspiring book I've ever read. I started reading Out Stealing Horses, but couldn't get into it at the time and had to stop. But that doesn't mean I won't be back to finish it, it did seem interesting. I'm going to agree with you on Malcolm Gladwell and with the Kite Runner. You should also read The Cellist of Sarajevo, I think you'd like it. The Sunday Philospophy Club was good as well but didn't capture my like Smith's No 1 Ladies Detective Agency series.
